Deputy Commissioner Naveed Shahzad Mirza has said that all precautionary measures are being taken as per the directions of the Punjab government to prevent dengue mosquito and protect the people from it whereas awareness campaign for dengue prevention and safety measures are also underway among the people.
While presiding over a meeting, he said that 266 teams appointed by the health department were engaged in indoor and outdoor activities.
The Deputy Commissioner visited the offices of the District Complex and their roofs and inspected the cleanliness.
He directed the officers and employees of all the departments to take special care of the cleanliness of their offices.
He also appealed to the people to pay special attention to the sanitation system in their homes, offices, business centres, camps and other places, to prevent water accumulation in plant pots, room coolers, rubber tyres and any other place so that dengue mosquito larvae could not breed.
On the occasion, CEO Health, Dr. Rehmatullah Saqib said that 42 outdoor and 224 indoor teams have been appointed by the health department for dengue control program. He said that outdoor teams have so far surveyed 42630 places while indoor teams have surveyed 651257 houses.
CEO Education Muhammad Amin Chaudhry said that anti-dengue campaign has been observed in schools across the district and all school heads and teachers have been directed to take special care of cleanliness in their respective educational institutions to prevent dengue.
Meanwhile Secretary Schools Education Punjab has promoted Assistant CEO, Education Office Hafizabad Khadim Hussain to the post of Superintendent, Grade 17.
