adjourns hearing of PM’s money laundering case

A court on Monday adjourned the hearing of FIA’s money laundering case of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz till Sept 30, It is worth mentioning here that PM Shehbaz and his son Hamza had filed the petition seeking their acquittal in the money laundering case before the court of Special Central Court Judge Ijaz Hassan Awan.

The judge also accepted the request of the duo seeking exemption from court appearance. Lawyer Amjad Pervaiz presented arguments on behalf of Shehbaz and Hamza.

He said that indictment could not be made in this case as there was no substantial proof against his clients. He said that it was a case of acquittal on which he would present his arguments in the next hearing.

The petitioners said that they were nominated in the FIA challan without considering the ground realities beseeching the court to order their exoneration.
