Acute water shortage in far-flung areas

The situation of the water scarcity in the district was worsening and no water seems till far-flung areas of district as the thirst of the population to be quenched” a small grower, Abu Talib Khaskheli says.

“The people of the district were compelled to used contaminated water for the drinking purpose while the animals are about to perish due to prevailing water crises”, renowned social activist, Abdullah Saraz enunciates.

Almost canals and minors of the district including canals Mir Wah, Kazia Wah, Ghuni Canal and minors including Raj Wah, Ali Wah, Suny Ghuni, Kazia Wah, Bhaneri Wah, Sultan Wah, Molchand Wah, Imam Wah, Dubi Wah, Sorhadi Wah and others are producing the deserted scene of the district. The agriculture sector in district was about to tear down due to prolong acute shortage of the water.

The hundreds of farmers and growers of the district were led by social activists, politicians and citizens of the district compelled to launch the series of protests in different parts of the district and demonstration against the nagging water crisis and reluctance of the concerned Govt officials of the district. The large numbers of the farmers and growers of the district took out rallies and staged demonstrations in different towns and cities of the district to register their protest against an acute water shortage in their respective canals and minors.

The leaders of the protesting farmers and growers apprised the media that situations in their respective areas were worsen due to the acute shortage of water in their irrigation canals and distributaries for the past of many months.
