Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) claimed on Wednesday to have retrieved 100 acre agricultural land amounting to Rs. 10 crore 22 lakh from illegal occupants. Likewise, on the charges of corruption one Tehsildar, Secretary Union Council and Junior X-ray Technician were caught red-handed and arrested. Said spokesman for the ACE here and added that Director General Anti-Corruption Muhammad Gohar Nafees has directed all regional officers across Punjab to initiate indiscriminate actions against land-grabbers and corrupt elements.
In the light of his directions, Anti-Corruption Lahore Region undertook vigorous actions against land-grabbers of Tehsil Model Town Moza Shahzada and retrieved eight kanal 18 marla state land amounting to Rs. two crore. Similarly, ACE Sahiwal while initiating action in Okara reclaimed state land of 65 kanal 14 marla amounting to Rs. one crore 22 lac from illegal occupants. Such illegal occupants had been illegally occupying state land since long and were not paying any amount to the government.
In another action, ACE DG Khan reclaimed 90 acres forest land amounting to Rs. seven crore from illegal occupants. This piece of land was owned by Forest Department but unlawful occupants had been occupying this state land for quite long. The said retrieved land had been handed over to the officials of Forest Department. Furthermore, ACE Bahawalnagar while implementing on the policy of ACE Punjab for showing zero-tolerance against corrupt elements arrested Tehsildar Muhammad Ajmal Saif after his pre-arrest bail petition got dismissed from Lahore High Court Bahawalpur Bench.
Tehsildar Chishtian is facing charges for unlawfully transferring 83 acres land and also patronizing land-grabbers. ACE Lahore Region caught red-handed and arrested Muhammad Zahoor Junior X-Ray Technician of Rural Health Center More Khanda for issuing fake Midwife Certificates. Muhammad Zahoor demanded bribe from Malika Tayyaba for issuing fake Midwife Diploma. In another trap action, ACE Faisalabad also caught red-handed and arrested Secretary Union Council of 39 Tehsil Chiniot for demanding bribe on issuing death certificate.
