According to MoU, ABAD and Interestate will begin Sar Sbz Pakistan movement on commercial basis to establish ownership and look after trees well. Interestate will provide 25000 plants. Initially, these plants will be planted in projects of ABAD members and then planted on owned land. Plants will be sold to investors, who will start getting profit after two years.
Leading businessmen including Aqeel Kareem Dhedhi, President FPCCI Daroo Khan, Vice Chairman ABAD Abdul Rehman, Chairman Southern Region Ali Ratadia and a large number of ABAD members were present on this occasion. Addressing the ceremony, Chairman ABAD Mohsin Sheikhani said that Pakistan is one of top countries in the list of environmentally polluted countries.
According to research by various environment agencies, at least 25 percent of land of any country should be allocated for forests to contain global warming and very important for human lives, he said adding that unfortunately according to World Bank’s figure regarding development says that Pakistan has forests over only 1.9 percent land, which is very alarming situation and every Pakistani should play their role for Green Pakistan.
