ABAD demands extension of deadlines for Naya Housing projects

Chairman Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) Fayyaz Ilyas has demanded of the Federal Government to extend date of registration for Incentive Package of Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme upto 31st December 2021 and also extend time period for the completion of housing projects under this scheme. He was addressing a Seminar on PM’s housing package held at ABAD House here on Wednesday. Chief Commissioner MTO FBR Abdul Hameed Memon, Commissioner IR Audit Abdul Hafeez and other FBR officer s, Senior Vice Chairman ABAD Khawaja Muhammad Ayoob, Vice Chairman Arif Sheikhani, Chairman Southern Region Eng. Danish Bin Rauf and a large number of ABAD members were present on this occasion. Fayyaz Ilyas said that ABAD is supporting and standing with Prime Minister Imran Khan for providing low cost houses to people from lower strata of Pakistan. He said that development of construction industry is the guarantee of country’s economic progress. He said that relief package for the construction industry was a long standing demand of ABAD and we are happy that Prime Minister Imran Khan has taken right step for economic progress of the country. He said that the government will provide land and infrastructural facilities to builders and developers. Addressing the Seminar Chief Commissioner MTO Abdul Hameed Memon said that builders and developers have been given three main incentives that are no questions will be asked about source of income to those builders and developers who will opt for Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme upto 31st December, 2020, rate of tax will be four times less that routine tax rate and no question will be asked to those people who will purchase home in this scheme. He asked builders and developers to register themselves in Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme to get maximum benefits of the Prime Minister’s package. He said that FBR will appoint a focal person for ABAD to resolve tax issues of ABAD members. Commissioner IR Audit Abdul Hafeez gave the detail presentation regarding tax matters of Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme. Senior Vice Chairman Khawaja Muhammad Ayoob thanked distinguished guest for visiting ABAD and give fruitful presentation on Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme.
