Punjab province will be made a model province with regard to road safety and Transport Department is introducing environment-friendly electric buses for this purpose. Likewise, implementation on traffic rules is a sign of civilized society. He expressed these views while addressing during Annual Pakistan Road Safety Conference 2019 at a local hotel today. Jahanzeb Khitchi maintained that Transport Department has introduced latest vehicle inspection and certification system to prevent road accidents. Similarly, with the introduction of automation of transport system, issuance of fitness certificate and route permit, traffic accidents will be decreased and many precious human lives will be saved. A comprehensive roadmap is also being introduced to improve traffic system, he added.
