The Sindh High Court has directed the provincial government to review its decision regarding mini-mum wages to laborers asking it to take into board all stakeholders.
The court issued the order on Friday while hearing petitions submitted against the decision to fix the minimum salary of laborers up to Rs25,000.
The court also ruled that till the next decision of the committee, the wages of the laborers would remain the same i.e. Rs25,000.
The government order would stay till the new determination of the wages would take place by the government, the court directed.
A petition contesting the new wages was filed by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and Karachi Chamber.
