Pakistan cricket team will take on visitors Zimbabwe at Pindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi today (Tuesday) and they are confident of continuing their good show of ODIs in the Twenty20 International as well.
Pakistan have become the side with the most consecutive wins against one opposition in Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket, after their win in the second match of the series against Zimbabwe on Sunday. The Men in Green have now won 13 consecutive matches versus Zimbabwe and went past Afghanistan’s record against Ireland of 12 wins.
Pakistan won the second Twenty20 international by eight wickets in Rawalpindi, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Courtesy half centuries from skipper Babar Azam (51) and 20-year-old Haider Ali (66*), Pakistan made short work of a modest 135-run target, achieving victory with 29 balls to spare.
Haider, playing only his third T20I match, smashed three sixes and six boundaries in a 43-ball knock and was declared player of the match. Azam smacked eight fours and a six off just 28 balls, the fastest of his 16 T20 international fifties.
The last match of the series is scheduled for Tuesday.
