District police officer Faisal Gulzar, Hafizabad, foolproof security arrangements have been finalized to maintain law and order situation on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr in the district. He said that protection of lives, honour and property was top priority of the police and police was alive to combat anti-social elements whereas search operation against suspected criminal were also underway in the district.
DPO said that more than 850 police officers and officials would be deployed at different places to ensure protection of Eid congregations while special pickets would also be setup at entry and exits points on different roads to contain entry of miscreants and criminals throughout the district.
He said that on Moon-Night, male and female police personnels would also be performed duty at markets and bazaars to provide peaceful atmosphere to consumers and to keep vigilantes eye on suspected elements. He warned that kite-flying, one-wheeling, arial firing and tumult on night and day of the Eid at all, in case of any violation punitive action would be taken without any discrimination.
He said that on the Eid days, more than 100 cops would be deployed at public parks for providing recreational opportunities in pleasant and calms environment. Traffic police will be responsible to ensure smooth flow of traffic, he added.
