The police arrested five criminals, recovered arms, ammunition and narcotics during separate actions in different areas of the district on Wednesday, police said.
According to details, the police team headed by Bahatar police station, Zafarul Islam arrested an accused Muhammad Riaz Anar Gul hailing from post office Gandab, Kund Khairabad Nowshera and recovered 2400 gram hashish from his possession.
An accused Aamir Saeed s/o Muhammad Ashraf, resident of Akhori was arrested with a 30 bore pistol and bullets. During a raid in Mohallah Shadipura Khorr, the police arrested Kaif Shehzad s/o Haji Muhammad Ishaq besides recovering a 30 bore pistols and bullets.
During a raid in Pindi Gheb, accused Muhammad Waqas was arrested with arms and ammunition. Separate cases in all incidents were registering at concerned police stations and investigations were underway.—INP
