Three people died and two others were injured in a collision between a bus and a rickshaw near Aziz Bhatti Town in Sargodha on Wednesday. According to police, the accident took place due to overspeeding causing the bus to overturn after hitting the rickshaw.
Four of the five people, who were riding the rickshaw, were killed in the accident, whereas, the remaining two were injured seriously. In total, eight people were injured in the accident.
The injured and the bodies of the deceased were shifted to Sargodha District Headquarters (DHQ) Teaching Hospital.
Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has expressed his condolences over the loss of precious lives in the accident. He prayed for the departed souls and directed authorities concerned to provide best medical facilities to the injured people.—INP
