Eight persons including three policemen were arrested after more than 28 kg hashish was recovered from them. According to details, during patrolling the Uggoki police arrested three cops namely, Mubashar Hussain, Navid Anjum and Kashif after recovering 14 kg, 5.58 kg and 2.18 kg hashish respectively from them.
Meanwhile the Uggoki police also nabbed Akmal with 1.42 kg hashish and Umer Farooq with 2.10 kg hashish, the Hajipura police arrested Qadeer with 1.38 kg hashish, the Nekapura police arrested Luqman with 1.26 kg hashish and the Moutrah police arrested Jamshed with 1.37 kg hashish.
Cases have registered against all the accused persons; however, the District Police Officer Sialkot Muhammad Hasan Iqbal has said that departmental action would also be taken against the accused cops.
