RAHIM YAR KHAN – A devastating incident occurred in Katcha area of Rahim Yar Khan, where 11 police officers were martyred and 7 others were injured as armed dacoits launched a fierce attack on two police vehicles.
Initial reports said the attack occurred in Machka region, where both vehicles had become stuck in rainwater, rendering them immobile.
The robbers, equipped with rocket launchers, targeted the stranded police vehicles, leading to a violent confrontation. In addition to the 11 officers who lost their lives, four remain missing after assault.
In response to attack, Rahim Yar Khan police mobilised significant reinforcements to the area to address the situation and search for the missing officers. The incident highlights the ongoing security challenges in the region and the need for enhanced measures to protect law enforcement personnel.
