FAISALABAD – An investigation into the death of newlywed bride from a gunshot under mysterious circumstance in Faisalabad has taken a new turn as police have arrested her 10-year-old nephew in the case.
The incident took place on December 2 in Chak 233 GB in Jaranwala Tehsil of Faisalabad where the woman died from a gunshot wound to her head.
The newlywed bride’s father in initial statement told police that her daughter was making a TikTok video with a gun when she was accidently shot.
However, SSP Tariq Mahboob stated that after the post-mortem, doctors and forensic experts did not agree with the statement that the bride shot herself. Furthermore, no confirmation was found regarding the TikTok video on her mobile phone.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the bride’s 10-year-old nephew accidentally fired with the gun, leading to her death. The bride’s father had allegedly given a false statement to protect his grandson.
Police have arrested a case against the 10-year-old boy, who is said to be the nephew of the bride. SSP Mahboob said that further details will be revealed after the forensic report.
