At least ten individuals were kidnapped from a picnic spot in Balochistan capital Quetta on Thursday.
Media reports claimed that the incident occurred at Shaban, near Zarghoon, where armed members surrounded the area and abducted them after checking their CNICs.
Those who were abducted belong to Punjab. Details about the incident are still awaited from authorities.
Last year, a similar incident occurred in provincial capital, where Punjab residents were kidnapped after their identities were verified.
Last month, seven Punjabis were shot dead while they were sleeping in their residential quarters in Balochistan’s Gwadar. The police official said that the dead and injured individuals used to work in a barber shop in the area and belonged to district Khanewal in Punjab.
Later, two suspects were arrested in connection to the murder of seven labourers in the coastal town of Sarbandan.
