Renowned philanthropist Dr Amjad Saqib has said that uniformity between what one says and what one acts is a must to create true leadership skills among individuals.
He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of newly established Centre for Civility and Integrity Development (CCID) on Tuesday. PU VC Prof Niaz Ahmad, Justice (r) Nasira Javed Iqbal, Pro VC and CCID Patron Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Mazhar and a large number of students were present on the occasion. Addressing the ceremony, Dr Amjad Saqib said that a good leader took practical steps to implement his vision.
He said that students should have qualities of high moral values, tolerance, justice etc to move ahead in their lives. He hoped that PU CCID would help in production of good citizens. Justice (r) Nasira Javed Iqbal said that restoration of high moral values among students was need of the hour.
She said that unfortunately everyone was selling one’s faith. She said that we should have to learn the lesson of contentment from the life of Hazrat Muhamamd (SAW). Qayyum Nizami congratulated PU VC Prof Niaz Ahmad for establishing CCID and said that today we were facing a crisis of character.
He said that if there was strength of character among us, we could bring revolution in the country as per desire of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Prof Dr Saleem Mazhar said that dealing with people in your surroundings in good manner was one of the prime needs of the hour.
