A youth was killed and his two companions were injured in a traffic accident. According to the police, on Sunday evening an over speeding tractor trolly hit a motor cycle in a locality under the limits of the Phalora police station.
As a result of the mishap motor cycle rider Tabish was killed at the spot and his two companions, brother Danish and cousin Sunni, were severely injured and were immediately rushed to a local hospital.
The police have registered a case against Nadeem, the driver of the tractor trolly, and started investigations.
Meanwhile in a drive against the banned kite flying, 50 persons were arrested from different localities of the Sialkot district and cases were registered against them.
According to the police on Sunday, localities under the limits of the Kotwali, Civil Lines, Muradpur, Sambrial, City Pasroor, Phalora and Bambanwala police stations were raided by the police during which 50 persons namely, Awais, Suhail, Shabbir, Ashir, Zahid Sultan, Qasim Ali, Afzal, Mutarif Ali, Zaryab, M Abdullah, Salman, Raheel, Ahmed Raza, Hammad Arif, Irfan, Samama, Rahat Saleem, Shakil Anjum, Amir, Nadeem, Jamshed, Shehbaz, Adnan, Noman, Waseem Tariq, Riaz, Javed, Sajid, Tayyab, Hamid Naveed, Hamza, Qamar, Saad, Zulfiqar, Hamza Nawaz, Usman, Ashraf, M Amir, Mansoor, Badil, Samson, Qasim Ali, Usman, Abdul Rehman, M Hamza, Fahad, M Irfan, M Awais, Shehzaib and Abdullh.in connection with the campaign against the kite flying.
The police also seized hundreds of the kites and several dozen roles of the line from the accused persons and registered cases against all of them.
