Yasmin reviews recruitment of medical officers, other staff

An important meeting was held in the Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education under the chairmanship of Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid. Punjab Health Secretary Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi, Special Secretary Shoaib Jadoon, Additional Secretaries Shahada Farrukh, Agha Nabeel, Zahida Azhar and Dr. Hafiz Shahid Latif, Deputy Secretaries Muhammad Abu Bakr and Bakhtiar and officers were present. Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid reviewed the measures regarding the recruitment of medical officers/women medical officers, nurses, technologists and medical staff during the meeting.

Additional Secretary Zahida Azhar and Deputy Secretary Muhammad Abu Bakar gave a briefing to Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid. Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid said on this occasion that a requisition is being sent to the Punjab Public Service Commission for the recruitment of more doctors by the Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education.

Before our government, Punjab Health Department was running with 50% vacancies. According to Imran Khan’s promise, our government has made a record number of doctors in the Punjab Health Department. We are trying our best to meet the shortage of doctors in Punjab government teaching hospitals.
