A woman was gunned down when a car she was travelling came under attack by armed motorcyclists here in Shalimar area of the City in broad daylight on Friday.
According to police sources, 36-year-old Naila was on the way back home in a car when she came under attack by some armed motorcyclists who started firing at her vehicle indiscriminately.
Resultantly, Naila sustained critical injuries and rushed to Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital, but she succumbed to her wounds.
The body was shifted to the city morgue for the post-mortem and the police launched investigation.
