QUETTA—Winter Holidays are set to start on December 16, 2025 at the University of Balochistan as the temperature plunges in parts of the country.
The public university located in city center area of provincial capital officially announced its winter vacation schedule which will start from December 16, 2024. Classes will restart from March 3, 2025.
A notification shared in this regard said ‘University of Balochistan, Quetta & its’ all sub-Campuses except Kharan will remain closed on account of winter vacations from 16-12-704 to 28-02-2024 & subsequently will re-open on 03-03-2025.
All the Deans/HoDs will remain in their departments during winter vacations and will ensure the safeguarding of all assets under their jurisdiction. However, the Deans/HoDs may take leave with the prior approval of the Competent Authority.
Winter Holidays
All Non-Teaching Staff of the departments will remain present on duty during the vacations, if found absent, strict disciplinary action will be initiated against them. Boys, and Girls Hostels arc directed to get the Hostels vacated and close the Hostels during the winter vacations by 14-12-2024 positively.
The decision was made with approval of the Balochistan University VC and aims to provide well-deserved break while ensuring the security and maintenance of university facilities.
