DUBAI – Pakistanis continue to face hard times getting UAE visit, work visas, especially the labour class, who used to travel to Gulf nation to seek employment.
The country of over 12.50 million made stern changes in visa issuance and now reports claimed 24 cities in so-called “No-Visa List”. Unverified reports online claimed that the new restriction targets people whose place of birth is among following cities.
These reports said residents of Abbottabad, Attock, Bajaur Agency, Chakwal, D.G Khan, D.I Khan, Hangu, Hunza, Kasur, Khushab, Kotli, Kohat, Kurram Agency, Larkana, Nawabshah, Mohmand Agency, Muzaffargarh, Parachinar, Quetta, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Sheikhupura, Skardu and Sukkur allegedly misused visas and were involved in fraudulent activities linked to certain agents.
UAE Visa Ban List
The ban encompasses all categories of visas, including business and visit visas, raising concerns among potential travelers from these regions. Authorities have emphasized that the decision is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the integrity of the visa application process.
As the situation develops, many citizens from the affected cities are seeking clarity on how these restrictions will impact their travel plans.
UAE Officials Reject Previous Developments
UAE Consul General earlier highlighted that social media activity can affect Pakistani citizens’ visa approvals, warning that negative online behavior might lead to rejections or bans.
He however denied reports of stricter visa restrictions and urged expatriates to avoid bringing home country issues to the UAE. It was reported that seventy thousand work visas were issued to Pakistanis.
