PESHAWAR – Rains and gusty winds are likely in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday night and Tuesday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), light to moderate monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal penetrate the upper/central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave will likely affect upper parts of the country from July 11.
Under these weather conditions, rains and gusty winds are likely at isolated places in Mansehra, Swat, Shangla, Batagram, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Tank, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Karam, Lakki Marwat, Waziristan, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan on Monday night.
On Tuesday, rains and gusty winds are likely at isolated places in Dir, Swat, Shangla, Batagram, Haripur, Swabi, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Tank, Khyber, Mohmand, Bajaur, Karam, Lakki Marwat, Waziristan, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan. Hot and humid weather is likely elsewhere in the province.
Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 38-40°C on Tuesday and 37-39°C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.

Bannu remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 40°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 38 per cent.
In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 47 per cent.
