Weather update for Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa; rains expected in upper districts

PESHAWAR – Intermittent rains and gusty winds are expected in upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday night and Tuesday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A low pressure area lies over Central Arabia Sea.

Under these weather conditions, rains and gusty winds are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kurram and Kohistan on Monday night.

On Tuesday, mainly dry weather is expected in most districts of the province and cold in hilly areas. However, partly cloudy weather with rain/thunderstorms may occur in Chitral and Dir during evening/night.

Peshawar’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 33-35°C on Tuesday and 32-34°C on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. Cold weather prevailed in hilly areas. However, rain/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in upper districts.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where the maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 41 per cent.

In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 59 per cent.
