Weather outlook of Lahore, Punjab; rains, isolated hailstorms expected

LAHORE – Rains are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Monday night and Tuesday.
Heavy rains and hailstorms are expected at isolated places in upper districts.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a westerly wave prevails over the western and upper parts of Pakistan. It will likely strengthen tonight.
Under these conditions, rains are expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Narowal, Sialkot, Mianwali, Sargodha, Khushab, Layyah, Taunsa, Bhakkar and Dera Ghazi Khan on Monday night.

On Tuesday, more rains are expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Narowal, Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sahiwal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Shorkot, Faisalabad, Mianwali, Toba Tek singh, Jhang, Sargodha, Layyah, Taunsa, Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan and surroundings. Heavy falls and hailstorms may occur at isolated places in Murree and Galliyat during the period.

Lahore’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 33-35°C on Tuesday and 34-36°C on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Bahawalpur remained the hottest place in Punjab where the maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C.
In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 76 per cent.
