LAHORE – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted cold and dry weather for Lahore and most parts of Punjab on Thursday evening/night, Friday and Saturday.
According to the synoptic situation, a shallow westerly wave prevails over Kashmir and adjoining areas.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the provincial metropolis and the most parts of the province on Thursday evening/night and the next two days. Freezing weather is expected in Murree, Galyat and surroundings during the period.
Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday.
Murree’s minimum temperature will likely remain between -03 to -01 C on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the province including Lahore during the last 24 hours. Freezing weather prevailed in Murree, Galyat and surroundings.
Murree remained the coldest place in Punjab where temperature dropped 01 C below freezing. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 68 per cent.
In Lahore, minimum temperature was recorded at 10 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 75 per cent.
