Weather outlook of Islamabad, Pakistan; rains, gusty winds predicted

ISLAMABAD – Rains of varying intensities and gusty winds are predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Thursday and Friday with occasional gaps.

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), low pressure areas approach southeast Sindh. A shallow westerly wave prevails over upper parts of the country.

Under these weather conditions, rains are predicted at scattered places in southeastern Sindh and at isolated places in southeastern Balochistan, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas on Wednesday night.

On Thursday and Friday, rains are predicted in the twin cities and at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southeastern Sindh, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.

Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 33-35°C on Thursday and 31-33°C on Friday.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 32-34°C on Thursday and 31-33°C on Friday.

Meanwhile, rains occurred at isolated places in lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, southeastern Sindh, Kashmir, central/northeast Punjab, southeastern Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Gilgit-Baltistan: Bunji 01

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 59 per cent.

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 33°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 56 per cent.
