Nadeem, who won silver at the World Championship in 2023 and at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, made history with his gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games—the first gold for Pakistan since 1962.
The last time Pakistan won an Olympic medal was in 1992 when they secured bronze in field hockey in Barcelona.
