Villagers killed a leopard in Dera Bugti after spotting them roaming the streets of Sui area. The villagers after spotting the leopard chased it and found it hiding in a case. They killed the animal and also made a film which went viral on social media.

The district administration later sprang into action, saying they will lodge an FIR after identifying the accused. A rare deer died of extensive heat and thirst in Narowal’s Faiz Ahmad Faiz Park, due to the apparent negligence of district administration and municipal committee.

According to visitors, there are no proper arrangements for the looking after of animals in the park. The expired deer was one year old and had a price tag Rs10 million. Municial Committee Chief Officer Muhammad Sardar, however, said that the deer was sick, suffered a heart attack and died.

When asked to disclose where the animal was being treated, the officer declined to respond. The Livestock Department said they knew nothing about the deer’s sickness and death. Deputy Commissioner Hassan Raza said the deer did not die of water shortage. The animal might have been died of heart attack or some other illness, he added.—INP
