Ushna Suhail cruised to final of the Eighteen National Ladies Tennis being organized by Subh-e-Nau here at PTF Complex on Saturday. Ushna defeated Sara Mansoor after a tough fight between both seasoned players. Ushna won first set by 6-4, but looked off color in second set and Sara Mansoor won by 6-2. Ushna came back strong decisive set and fought hard to win the set and match. She will be up against Sarah Mahboob in final on Sunday. Sarah Mahboob’s opponent Meheq Khokhar couldn’t resist against her senior opponent.
The final of Ladies singles will be played on Sunday. Meanwhile, Ushna Suhail pairing with Sara Mansoor, qualified for the final of Ladies Doubles after beating Esha Jawad and Noor Malik. Semifinals of Ladies Doubles were played on Friday late in the evening due to rain. In second semifinal of Ladies Doubles, Sarah Mahboob and Meheq Khokhar defeated Shimza Naz and Khunsha Babar. Ladies Doubles final was underway at time of filing of this story.
Shimza Naz of Army clinched title of Girls 18 and Under with an easy victory against Zahra Suleman. Title of Girls 14 & Under went to Shiza Sajid who won title match against Amna Ali Qayum.
Hania Mihas bagged title of Girls U-10 with victory against Zunaisha Noor. Hania will be looking for Girls 12 & under title when she play final against Amna Ali Qayum on Sunday. Prize Distribution ceremony will be held on Sunday after the Ladies Singles final.—APP
