The Departments of Accident and Emergency of the Indus Hospital and Health network in collabora-tion with specialists from Grady Memorial Hospital-Emory University USA, conducted a certificate program titled on “Collaborative Advanced Trauma Care CAT-C” to train multidisciplinary emergency and trauma team of the Indus Hospital Badin on Friday.
The course curriculum was developed according to the findings of the hospital survey which identified a high burden of severely injured patients seeking care at The Indus Hospital (TIH).
This was attended by Emergency Medical Officers, Orthopedic surgeons, Anesthesia specialists and Emergency Resuscitation nurses.
The program aimed to build trauma care knowledge and practices through didactic learning, hands-on procedure practice, simulation, and team-building activities.
The trainers include senior Emergency Medicine physician, trauma surgeon and nurse from Grady Memorial Hospital – Emory University USA and senior Emergency Medicine physicians from the Indus Hospital.
The customized course will help the emergency and trauma team at the Indus Hospital Badin to provide well-coordinated, comprehensive, and compassion-ate care to trauma patients.
