Azad Kashmir’s President Sardar Masood Khan has appealed to the US government to intervene to make occupied Kashmir a demilitarized zone and restore its basic status. He was addressing a webinar in Washington.
The Pakistani Embassy in Washington hosted this webinar on “Human Rights Violations in Occupied Kashmir” on the occasion of Black Day. The webinar was addressed by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Dr. Asad Majeed Khan, US Colonel (retd) Wes Martin, journalist Mike Glenn, Moahid Hussain Shah and Prof. Imtiaz Khan also .
President Azad Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan said that the US government and people must play their role for a peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue. The Kashmir issue is not an internal matter of India but an internationally recognized dispute. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Dr. Asad Majeed said It is the duty of the United Nations to urge India against the Indian occupation of Kashmir and for the restoration of human rights – in 73 years India has completely failed to reduce its commitment to Kashmiris’ independence. Pakistan will continue to strongly support its Kashmiri brothers at the diplomatic, moral and political levels.
US expert Colonel (retd) Wes Martin Said The United Nations must play its part in ending the ongoing persecution and human rights violations in the detention centers in Occupied Kashmir. Journalist Mike Glenn stressed the need to repeatedly expose the Indian occupation of occupied Kashmir to the world.
