The final results of the US presidential election have also come in which the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has won. The results of 49 states have already come and only the result of Georgia is awaited.
On Thursday, election officials announced the results for Georgia, with Biden receiving 12,000 more votes than President Trump. Biden has a total of 306 electoral votes, compared to his opponent, President Trump, with 232 electoral votes. On the other hand, President Trump also accused Georgia of rigging the election results and claimed in a tweet that thousands of votes in various counties of Georgia which were not counted.
According to a news release from Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office Biden beat Trump by 12,284 votes.
This is a slight drop for Biden compared to the pre-audit results. Officials have said repeatedly that the audit confirmed there was no widespread fraud or irregularities in the election.
Pakistani community leader lobbyist and IT expert Rana Zaman Saeed has said that President-elect Joe Biden has high hopes for Muslims and the Pakistani community, and that we expects to lift the ban on Muslims from entering the United States and soften immigration policy as soon as he comes to power. We are also preparing a memorandum from the One Million Muslim Vote for Biden platform which we will present to the Biden election campaign team so that the new administration takes our demands and reservations into account in policy making. Rana Zaman Saeed talking with Pakistan Observer said that the Pakistani community and Muslims have openly campaigned for Biden this time.
“We will work for the equal treatment of Muslims and the protection of their rights as well as for the betterment of relations between Pakistan and the United States,” he said. He said that Pakistan should be taken into confidence in any regional policy making and any country should be avoided from becoming a regional caliber. Rana Zaman Saeed said that as an ally, the United States should help Pakistan to get out of the FATF gray list because Pakistan is also a US ally in Afghanistan and helping out in peace process. Rana Zaman Saeed also said that I will continue lobbying Pakistan economically,Militarily and defense relationships during Biden Presidency and try to defeat Indian lobbyist against Pakistan.
