Says more than 3m citizens provided free treatment through Sehat Sahulat Program
Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid has stated that Universal Health Insurance is the brainchild project of PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Imran Khan in his first speech to the nation as the Prime Minister had given the vision of providing free health facilities to the people. She expressed these views in an important meeting was held in the Department of Specialized Health and Medical Education under the chairmanship of Dr. Yasmin Rashid, in which Special Secretary Syed Wajid Ali Shah, Additional Secretary Finance Shahida Farrukh, CEO Punjab Health Initiative Management Company Dr. Ali Razzaq, officers of State Life Insurance Company, COO Punjab Health Initiative Management Company Shamshad Khan and other officers participated.
Yasmin Rashid during the meeting reviewed the facilities provided to the people of Punjab under universal health insurance and the steps taken to empanel more hospitals. Special. Special Secretary Syed Wajid Ali Shah, CEO Punjab Health Initiative Management Company Dr. Ali Razzaq and other officers gave a detailed briefing to Provincial Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid.
On the special instructions Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Punjab Health Initiative Management Company installed 38 more eye hospitals last day.. Providing universal health insurance to the people of Punjab is fulfilment of Imran Khan’s vision. According to Imran Khan’s vision, more than 3 crore 11 lacs families of Punjab have been provided universal health insurance facility without any discrimination.
The people of Punjab are getting free treatment facilities through the health cards. Anti-people elements are trying their best to stop the health cards but by the grace of Allah, the health facility card will continue. The elements opposed to health cards should be told that the work of public welfare never ends. Statistics of health cards are very surprising. According to the statistics, more than 31 lacs 65 thousand people in Punjab have received free treat-ment facility through health cards. So far, the people of Punjab have received the facility of free treatment worth more than 69 billion and 80 crore rupees. She said that more than 70 thousand beds have been added in empaneled in public and private hospitals for the treatment of the people of Punjab through the health cards. 795 government and private hospitals have been empaneled to provide free treatment facility through health cards.
