University of Management and Technology (UMT) organized the Rector’s Merit Award ceremony, where 368 students from 18 schools, pursuing BS and MS degree programs, were honored with the Merit Award.
The ceremony was attended by UMT Rector Dr. Asif Raza, Chief Guest CEO Topaz Group of Companies Muhammad Ejaz, Controller Examinations Dr. Shahid Hassan, Deans, Directors, Senior Manager Haseeb Haider, Muhammad Usman, students, and their parents. CEO Topaz Group of Companies Muhammad Ejaz addressed the ceremony and congratulated the students who received the Award, advising them to continue working hard with dedication. Muhammad Ejaz expressed that he felt pleased visiting UMT. He emphasized that hard work is the only key to success therefore, students should work diligently to brighten the names of their teachers, parents and their country’s as well. Addressing the ceremony, Rector UMT Dr. Asif Raza congratulated the students and their parents on receiving the Award. He said that the role of teachers and parents has been very important in the success of students. Dr. Asif mentioned that UMT provides scholarships worth millions of rupees every year in the form of the Rector Merit Award, which boosts the morale of students, enabling them to fulfill their educational and other essential needs. UMT provides all the necessary facilities that other private universities do not offer.
UMT Rector advised students to build their identities worldwide with confidence and honesty, not only by obtaining education but also by becoming good human beings. He mentioned that there is no limit to hard work and success as one can become a highly successful individual through hard work.
