Two leopards found dead at Changla Gali

In one day, two leopards’ dead bodies were found while two cubs of leopards were also recovered by the Wild Life Department in Mikhyal Forest Range in Haripur district. According to wild Life Department official at Abbottabad Abdul Khaliq, Field officer while confirming the recovery of dead bodies has told that the post-mortem of the two leopards found dead in Galiyat has been completed and final report will be available in two days’ time to ascertain the exact cause of death.

They were found dead on in Police Station Changla Gali on Seer Gharbi Road and as per locals, these were died due to logging during deforestation of local firms. This was the 2nd incident reported in the area in last couple of days as at least 10 days back one dead body of the leopard was also found here.

According to Wild Life Officials, Abbottabad Cheetahs are extremely rare species and are dying out.
