Two killed, 16 injured in road accidents

As many as two persons were killed while sixteen other injured, among three of them in critical condition in two different road accidents that occurred in different localities of District Attock on Sunday.

According to the Police, in first incident a motorcyclist was killed and another sustained serious head injuries as their bike collided head-on near Romian on Attock- Haji Shah Road in the limits of Attock Saddar Police station.

Sources stated that 41 years old Umer Deen was on its way when his bike collided with another bike coming from the opposite side.

Seventeen, year old bike rider Aabia Zameer riding the bike recklessly when it collided with a bike coming from the opposite direction; as a result Umer died on the spot while Aabid he got injured was shifted to DHQ hospital in critical condition.

In second incident, one passenger that was travelling on car was killed while six other injured in car-Suzuki van head on collusion on Jand-Kohat road near Lungar village in limits of Jand Police station.

The deceased was identified as Sheikh Israr while injured person was identified as Perveen, Khalid, Ahmed Ali, Wahid, Shafiq, Arman.

The injured were shifted to THQ Jand. In another incident, seven persons on board a passenger van were injured, two of them critical in head-on collision between a passenger van and a dumper on Hazara road near Air weapons complex in limits of Hassanabdal Police station.

The injured persons were identified as Gulfaraz, Bakhshesh, Babar, Amjad, Abdul Qayyum, Arshad, Jameel.

Soon after the incident injured were taken to GHQ hospital from where two were shifted to Rawalpindi due to their critical condition.

In an-other incident thousand liters of oil split out from oil tanker as it over turned due to over speeding near Rangli in limits of Jand Police station in Attock.

Later rescue 1122 with police cordoned off the incident side to avert any untoward incident. Respective Police registered two separate cases and started further investigation.
