As the rescue operation was started, the injured were moved to the Civil Hospital in the provincial capital.

Soon after the latest terror attack, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the group which is on a rampage, claimed responsibility for the blast in a statement, saying security officials were targeted in the attack.

The recent incident comes days after the ghastly attack in Peshawar police lines where more than 100 people were killed.

The fifth most populous country has seen a fresh wave of terrorism, with Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remaining under attack.

In last couple of months, TTP has conducted scores of attacks after formally ending the ceasefire with Islamabad last year.
