Trials to select Chitral team for the upcoming Khy-ber Pakhtunkhwa Inter-School Championship com-pleted at Darosh wherein more than 200 players from the Upper and Lower Chitral particpated.
The trials were held in a conducive atmosphere, Mukhtiar Hussain, District Sports Officer, Dir Up-per, told APP here on Saturday.
The trials were conducted under the supervision of PCB which has nominated coach Mohammad Idrees for Dir Upper and Chitral, he informed.
DSO Dir Upper Mukhtiar Hussain, DSO Chitral Lower Umar Farooq and Level-I and senior player Waqas Ali were present during the trials.
The three selected schools of Chitral will play along with the selected 13 schools of Dir Upper to take part in the forthcoming Inter-School U16 Cricket Championship to be starting from October 7 in different groups. All the teams are divided into four groups.
Two group matches will be played in Dir Sports Complex. One group matches will be played in Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University Shar-ingal and the last group teams will play at Darosh Cricket ground.—APP
