Central Organization of Traders Provincial General Secretary Zahir Shah while rejecting the decision of the government to restore the system of excise duty, said that the said system is a continuation of the government’s anti-business policies and said that the federal government has already sealed.
Is levying 3% in terms of taxes and there is no justification for the imposition of excise tax which was an outdated and rotten system which was abolished due to which the business community used to face a lot of difficulties in this system.
There were many shortcomings, so in any case, its implementation is not in the interest and viability of the business community. Concerns about the point-of-sale system for the business community should be removed.
Traders’ issues will be effectively raised with the federal and provincial governments and relevant agencies. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of businessmen at Mardan Chamber.
There were a large number of traders. The meeting discussed the elimination of double taxation, implementation of fax tax system by the traders and demanded from the federal and provincial governments to take serious steps for immediate solution of the problems of the business community affected by Corona virus and terrorism.
Effective measures should be taken as business community is playing a key role in economic development of the country through the payment of innumerable taxes, whose self-respect and dignity should be taken care of at every level.
