RAWALPINDI – Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday vowed to end the human tragedy in occupied Kashmir as the nation marks Kashmir Solidarity Day today.
In a statement shared by ISPR on Twitter, Gen Bajwa said that time has also reached to resolve the Kashmir issue as per the aspirations of the people of the occupied region and the United Nations (UN) resolutions.

He also paid tribute to the people of Kashmir, their resolve and valiant struggle saying “Kashmiris are braving gravest human rights violations and lockdown in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK)”.
Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed on Saturday to express whole-hearted support of Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination.
One minute silence was observed at 10:00 am across the country.
Solidarity walks are being organized in Islamabad, Muzafarabad, Gilgit and in four provincial headquarters.
Human chains were formed at important points linking Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
