PARIS – The security has been put on high alert in the French capital for fast approaching Paris Olympics.
The local residents and tourists are in trouble because of the tight security as it has become difficult to move around without a pass.
Besides it, several restaurants in high-security zones have been closed. The security in Paris has been heightened in anticipation of the Olympics.
Prior to this, a person who injured a guard with a knife at a Paris railway station was arrested.
According to eyewitnesses, the knife struck the soldier’s shoulder, and caused minor injuries but the police officer on the scene apprehended the attacker.
The attacker, who shouted “Guard Great” during the attack is a Christian of African-French descent who received French citizenship in 2006.
