Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday said that everyone is bound to accord due respect to state institutions and targeting state institutions under any specific agenda is deplorable. “Pakistan is going through crucial juncture of its history and elements hell-bent-on spreading unrest and uncertainty are pursuing enemy’s agenda.”
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar expressed the view while talking to Speaker Punjab Assembly Ch. Pervaiz Elahi who called on him CM’s House. The chief minister said that relations with all allied party have grown stronger than before and PML-Q is fully onboard in the decision-making process.
“The disappointed opposition could not hoodwink the masses anymore,” the CM declared.
Sardar Usman Buzdar and Ch Pervaiz Elahi discussed different matters of mutual interest. MNA Ch. Moonis Elahi was also present on the occasion. Both the leaders condemned the nefarious effort of making national institutions controversial and expressed their resolve to counter head-on every conspiracy against the state institutions.
No compromise will be made on the respect of state institut ions, they added.
Ch Pervaiz Elahi reiterated to stand with state institutions, saying that those making statements against the institutions are not loyal to the nation.
“The opposition wants to achieve its nefarious objectives by making the institutions controversial,” he regretted, adding that it is time to maintain unity instead of engaging in negative politics and opposition should reconsider its conduct. He said that opposition’s APC drama remained unsuccessful adding that joint work will be continued to provide more facilities to the people.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar inaugurated a state-of-art Veterinary Academy at University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore on Tuesday for the training and capacity building of veterinary professionals, faculty members and researchers.
Punjab Minister for Livestock & Dairy Development Sardar Husnain Bahadur Dareshak, Adviser to CM on Livestock Faisal Hayat Jabwana, Parliamentary Secretary on Livestock and Dairy Production Rana Shahbaz Ahmad, Secretary Livestock & Dairy Development Capt (r) Saqib Zafar, UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor University of Education Lahore Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, Vice-Chancellor Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Prof Dr Muhammad Sajjad Khan and UVAS faculty, syndicate members and Livestock Department officials were present at the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that although the livestock sector has been neglected in the past, the PTI govt is striving for its development on scientific lines.
He said that it’s the age of specialization and the Veterinary Academy would be very effective in the capacity building of our in-service veterinary professionals, faculty members and researchers.
With the updated knowledge and skills, the veterinary professionals would work actively for the uplift of livestock and allied sectors and contribute to the national economic development. He said the UVAS efforts for enhancing livestock productivity are appreciable.
The CM also distributed appreciation certificated to UVAS team members who have been involved in COVID-19 testing under the leadership of Prof Dr Tahir Yaqub, Director Institute of Microbiology. Buzdar also gave away shields to former UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat NAseer Pasha, Dr Hasa Zaneb and others who have been involved in the building of the Veterinary Academy.
Later the CM visited the UVAS Pet Centre and Veterinary.
