LAHORE – The third and decisive Test match between Pakistan and England is scheduled to begin on October 24 in Rawalpindi.

Both teams will depart from Multan for Rawalpindi tonight.

According to sources, the players from both teams are scheduled to leave at 8pm via chartered flight.

After arriving in Rawalpindi tonight, both teams will rest on Sunday, with their training sessions planned from Monday onwards.

A spin-friendly pitch, similar to Multan, is being prepared in Rawalpindi.

The visiting team has an advantage over Pakistan at the Rawalpindi Stadium.

The last Test match between Pakistan and England was played here from December 1 to 5, 2022, in which Ben Stokes’ eleven secured a 74-run victory.

Pakistan’s lineup included pacers Naseem Shah, Mohammad Ali, and Haris Rauf, along with spinners Zahid Mahmood, Salman Agha, and Saud Shakeel.

England won the toss and posted a massive first-innings total of 657, which included four centuries.

Openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley provided a 223-run stand.

Ben Duckett scored 107, while Zak Crawley played a knock of 122. Ollie Pope added to Pakistan’s misery with 108 runs, and Harry Brook played a key role by contributing 153 runs, further strengthening England’s position.

For Pakistan, Zahid Mahmood took four wickets, Naseem Shah three, Mohammad Ali two, and Haris Rauf claimed one.

In response, Babar Azam’s side managed to score 589 runs. Abdullah Shafique (114), Imam-ul-Haq (121), and Babar Azam (136) were the key contributors. Will Jacks took six wickets.

In the second innings, England declared at 264/7.

In response, Pakistan fell short of the 343-run target, managing to score only 268.

Saud Shakeel top-scored with 76, followed by Imam-ul-Haq (48) and Mohammad Rizwan (46).

This time, efforts are being made to prepare a different track to counter the English team.
