Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessuri along with Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saifur Rehman visited Safari Park and celebrated birthday of female elephants on Thursday. On the occasion the cake was cut for Sonia’s 16th birthday and Queen’s 18th birthday. Governor Sindh fed cake to both of them and congratulated the administration for taking care of them.
On the occasion the governor said that elephants are the glory of any park. These two are also increasing the glory of the park. Steps are being taken to make Karachi a city of lights again. Along with plantation, parks and footpaths are also being improved. On the orders of the Supreme Court, Allah Deen Park is being reconstructed, he added.
Tessuri while lauded Administrator Karachi said that he has done the equivalent of months in just a few days. The administrator has been asked to make this park more beautiful. More animals will be brought to this park.
The Administrator Karachi while briefing the governor said that The Tanzanian government had gifted the elephants to the city of lights. Transportation expenses were paid by Baldia Uzmi Karachi. Currently there are 4 elephants in which 2 are in Karachi Zoo and 2 in Safari Park.
