The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) issued a heatwave alert for Punjab on Monday as the province endures extreme heat in recent days.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), hot and dry conditions will persist across Punjab until Eid ul Adha. The department confirmed that extreme heat prevails throughout the province, including Lahore.
Temperatures are expected to gradually rise, with the provincial capital experiencing a minimum of 28 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 43 degrees Celsius today. The met department also forecasted a potential increase in temperature to 46 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
