Pakistan’s long-range rifle team has once again showcased its skill and determination on the international stage, securing significant victories at the European Long-Range Rifle Championship 2024. Led by Lt General Ahsan Gulrez, the team earned a bronze medal in the team category, while also collecting 11 individual medals across various events, solidifying Pakistan’s reputation in the shooting sports.

Among the individual standouts, Pakistani shooter Mohsin Nawaz made history by winning a silver medal in the Day One Aggregate and a bronze in the 1000 Yard event. This achievement marks the first time a Pakistani civilian has medaled in these categories at such a high level, setting new milestones for the country. Nawaz’s success is a testament to his growing prominence in the world of long-range rifle shooting.

Mohsin Nawaz credited his success at the European Championship to his state-of-the-art equipment, including Borden Action rifles paired with Blake Barrels and 215 Hybrid Target Bullets. Supported by Kahles Optics, this elite setup significantly boosted his accuracy, contributing to his remarkable performance.

Nawaz’s accomplishments at this championship also signify his 10th international long-range shooting medal, further cementing his position as a leading figure in the sport. His consistent performances continue to raise the bar for shooters in Pakistan, inspiring future generations to pursue excellence in the sport.

In the European F-Class Championship’s Rutland Cup, Team Pakistan Green made a strong showing, finishing with a bronze medal among 22 teams from nine countries. The team achieved a score of 589/600 and 59 Vs, marking the second consecutive year that Pakistan has secured a podium finish in this prestigious event. The gold medal was won by US White with a score of 591/600, followed by US Blue with a silver, matching Pakistan’s score but with a higher V-count.

The 2024 European Championship success further highlights Pakistan’s streak of impressive performances in international long-range rifle shooting competitions. The shooters’ dedication, along with the strategic guidance and support from the leadership, has played a crucial role in maintaining Pakistan’s status as a formidable competitor on the global stage.
