TDC to hold diabetes awareness walk, cycle rally tomorrow

The Diabetes Centre (TDC) is conducting an awareness walk and a cycle rally as part of its World Diabetes Day 2020 Awareness Campaign.
The hospital has invited a big number of government and private sector nurses, doctors, patients and people from various walks of life. Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad, Hamza Shafqaat and Senior officials from Ministry Of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination, will join TDC’s awareness events as guests of honor.
The hospital’s awareness campaign includes free screening camps, awareness sessions, and dissemination of educational materials. TDC is also offering 14% discount on all TDC services, including lab tests and medicines, to paying patients from the start of the month through November 14. Deserving patients are getting free treatment facilities as usual.
The walk will be held at TDC on Murree Expressway on November 14 at 10am, while the cycle rally is scheduled for the same day at 3pm on Jinnah Avenue from Centaurus Mall to Faisal Mosque.
The main objective of TDC’s awareness campaign is to raise awareness in communities along with diagnostic and treatment facilities, Imran Ali Ghouri, TDC Head of Communications and Media, said while taking to media. He added that TDC’s campaign this year is also focusing on appreciable role of nurses in diabetes prevention and effective management.
