Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Commerce and Industry Abdul Karim Khan paid a surprise visit to Ramzan Sasta Bazaar Mardan and Takht Bhai on the instructions of Chief Minister Khybeer Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Mehmood Khan.
A detailed review of the availability, prices and other facilities of food items including subsidized items was made and inquired about the relief provided to the citizens present on the spot.
On this occasion Deputy Commissioner Mardan Habibullah Arif, Assistant Commissioner Takht Bhai Anila Fahim, Additional Assistant Commissioner Headquarters Muhammad Yar Khan and other officers were also present on the occasion.
Giving a detailed briefing to Abdul Karim Khan regarding Ramadan cheap bazaars in the district, he said that cheap and quality essentials should be provided in Ramadan cheap bazaars.
The district and tehsil administration is taking steps to ensure this. And administrative officers are monitoring Ramadan cheap markets on a daily basis.
Hundreds of people involved in peddling, adulteration and hoarding have been arrested and many have been fined heavily.
