Sugar prices have increased across the country during a couple of days but rates of sugar in Peshawar shoot to 175 rupees per kilogram and more increase was feared in days to come.
According to details, in various areas of Peshawar wholesale price of 50kg sugar bag reached to Rs7200 while per kilogram sugar was being sold for Rs175/kg.
The trader community of the provincial capital warned that sugar prices can climb to 200 rupees per kilogram in next few days.
They said traders of Ashraf Road, Rampura, Pipal Mandi, Sabzi Mandi, GT Road, Hayatabad and other areas of Peshawar were out of sugar stock.—INP
